Jennifer Oppelt – Founder and President

Jennifer Oppelt is the president and founder of Enliven Wellness Works, Inc. Jennifer has a host of education and credentials in the health and wellness field including:

  • AA in interior design from the International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT)
  • Graduate of the Humanities Center School of Massage
  • Licensed massage therapist in the state of Florida (#MA37357)
  • Certified health coach and graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition
  • Certified holistic health practitioner – American Association of Drugless Practitioners
  • Certified workplace wellness specialist and program manager – National Wellness Institute
  • Certified fertility massage specialist
  • Birth doula in training (DONA)

Jennifer lives in St. Petersburg, Fla. She is happily married and the mother of two children, Alchemy and Ashton. She loves spending time with family and cooking real food. She also enjoys fitness and is an advocate of sustainable living.

Tracie Hammond – Program Coordinator and Lead Health Coach

Tracie Hammond has a B.S. degree from the University of Southern Maine. She is a certified nutritional consultant from the Global College of Natural Medicine, a certified personal trainer, and she holds many other fitness and nutrition certifications. Tracie has a true passion for health and wellness.  She uses the integrated approach to wellness, combining nutrition, exercise, and stress reduction techniques.  Tracie empowers her clients by coaching them to set realistic goals, identifying their strengths and obstacles, and setting weekly strategies to overcome these obstacles.  Her personalized exercise and nutrition plans are based on the specific goals of the client she is working with. Tracie strongly believes that each person is unique, and she uses that philosophy in her training style.

Machiel N. Kennedy  M.D.

Dr. Kennedy developed and instructs Enliven’s disease management programs for diabetes prevention and hypertension. Dr. Kennedy is a licensed medical doctor who is board certified in family medicine and bariatric medicine (weight loss).  He has more than 35 years of experience in private practice, wellness programs, weight management, preventive medicine, medical motivation, and patient education.  Dr. Kennedy speaks for different companies and conducts seminars on weight loss and healthy lifestyles.  He has authored four books.  The latest one is Radically Free, The Anti-inflammatory and Antioxidant Approach to Wellness and Weight Loss.

Dr. Kennedy takes a holistic approach to weight loss and health that begins by focusing on the inner you.  He invites you to see yourself as a whole person — physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, and to make an inner commitment to health and well being.  Take charge of your life: set reasonable goals, stay motivated, be accountable for your actions, eat healthy foods in moderation, get plenty of physical activity and exercise, avoid junk food, attend to your spiritual growth, get enough sleep, breathe deeply, relax, have fun, and stay true to your goal to be forever fit.

Dina Marshall – Health Coach

Dina Marshall has a B.S. in exercise and sport sciences from the University of Florida, and is a certified weight management group facilitator. Dina has a true passion for health and wellness.  She feels it is each person’s responsibility to do the best they can to strive for healthy living.  Every day is a new opportunity to live fully, nourish your body with proper nutrition, and move!  Dina has experience in working with clients in corporate, educational, government and community settings, and she knows each person has a unique situation in which to integrate healthy lifestyle habits.  Everyone learns differently, enjoys different foods and activities, has different goals, and is motivated differently; therefore, Dina strives to personalize each client’s healthy lifestyle plan.  She encourages clients to understand what stage of change they are in and to take small steps — any forward step is one in the right direction to better health!

Karen Elizabeth Bornstine – Health Coach

Karen Elizabeth has chosen a lifetime path of personal enrichment with a focus on nutrition, health and well-being. Karen’s 30+ years of research and education let her earn a certification as a holistic health counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. She is a founding member of Plant City Commons Community Garden, and volunteer teaches a weekly health and wellness program free of charge at a local community center. She provides her clients with individual guidance, support, and accountability as they move toward their unique and specific whole-wellness goals. Karen is a passionate advocate for living an energized, vibrant, happy and healthy life.  Karen’s workshops, and individual and group health programs, cover the Tampa Bay and Central Florida areas.

Shari Feldman – Yoga Instructor and Health Coach

Shari Feldman teaches yoga, stress management and healthy lifestyle classes. Shari has an M.A. in applied cultural anthropology from USF and is a certified yoga instructor who has studied yoga for nearly 15 years. She received her certification as a hatha yoga instructor in 2009. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as an experienced teacher at the 200-hour level, and is always seeking ways to expand her yoga experience and knowledge.  Outside the realm of yoga, Shari’s professional background is as an applied cultural anthropologist.  Shari combines her profound understanding of human behavior and culture with her intuition and her sensitivity to a subtle energetic level.

Kaluwa Ruit – Health Coach and Dance Instructor

Kaluwa Ruit is a holistic health coach, therapeutic movement instructor, and dance instructor.  She is inspired to help women and their families achieve personal goals while enjoying the journey. Kaluwa leads workshops on nutrition, and offers individual health and nutrition coaching to parents and families. She has studied with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, is certified as a group fitness instructor, teaches dance classes for children, and volunteers as a mentor. Kaluwa enjoys healthy living, and “walks the talk.”  Her family shares her passion and enjoys doing group activities like growing herbs and vegetables, cooking, walking, rollerblading, dancing, martial arts, and playing at every opportunity.

Raquel Sanchez – Dance Instructor

Raquel Sanchez has a B.A. in music and applied dance. She has had a love for the arts all her life and now with her degree, it is her goal to share her passion with anyone willing to learn. She believes anyone can dance as long as they have the desire to put 100 percent into it. She enjoys teaching dance not just for the physical benefits like improving an individual’s energy level and overall fitness, but for the mental and emotional benefits as well. “One of my favorite outlets of dealing with stress on a bad day is to put on my favorite music and just move and dance freely to help clear my mind. It’s amazing how much better I feel afterwards! And I tell everyone I meet to try the same. It’s a lot of fun!”

Denise O’Dunn – Ayurvedic Practitioner, Yoga Instructor and LMT

Denise is a certified ayurvedic practitioner from Florida Vedic College, licensed massage therapist (#MA58502), and yoga teacher who began studying yoga in 1970 and received certification as a yoga instructor in 1985. She is registered with Yoga Alliance as an experienced teacher at the 500-hour level.  Denise received her degree in ayurveda from the Florida Vedic College in 2005 and is a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. She has served as president of the Suncoast Yoga Teachers Association and is on its board of directors. Denise blends the ancient traditions of ayurveda and yoga into an individual practice of self-care. Her clients and students are guided on a blissful path to living a healthy, happy and harmonious life.

Jaclyn Divine – LMT, Yoga, Dance and Fitness Instructor, and Health Coach

Jaclyn has a vast collection of experience and education including a bachelor’s degree in social and cultural anthropology from Lawrence University and a master’s degree in business communication from Northwestern University. She is a licensed massage therapist (#MA57923), certified yoga instructor (500-hour level with Yoga Alliance), and she is Les Mills BODYFLOW™ certified and nia dance certified. Jaclyn is passionate about WELLNESS and loves to help others learn more about themselves to reach their potential.

Andrea College  – Yoga Instructor and Lifestyle Coach 

Andrea is a Certified Yoga Instructor trained at the Amrit Yoga Institute and at the Lotus Pond Center for Yoga and Health, registered with the Yoga Alliance.  Andrea empowers her students and clients with tools to transform their lives through yoga, meditation, pranayama, yoga nidra, rightful eating, personal and lifestyle coaching and counseling. Andrea’s passion for helping others find balance in their lives stems from her personal experience.   After exhausting all of the western approaches to wellness without finding relief, Andrea’s personal journey of healing from severe Anxiety and Panic Attacks led to many hours of meditation and in depth study of eastern philosophies and practices in Meditation, Yoga, Ayurveda, life style and spirituality.   The amazing results of this practice in not only resolving the symptoms, but addressing the root cause, led Andrea to dedicate her life to share this healing wisdom with others.

Kevin “KC” O’Dunn, B. Msc., LMT

Kevin O’Dunn is a nationally certified licensed Massage Therapist and Ayurvedic Technician. He holds a bachelors degree in Metaphysical Sciences from the University of Metaphysical Sciences. Kevin began his studies in traditional Swedish massage and Hydrotherapy in 1974 at Lindsey Hopkins School of Massage in Miami, Florida. In 2004 he enrolled in Bhakti Academe School of Intuitive Massage and Healing, in Safety Harbor, Florida, to further his studies in energy modalities. Kevin is also a Reiki Master and Quantum Touch Practitioner. Kevin is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association and the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. # ma49913

Josh Van Horn – Medical Massage Therapist

Josh Van Horn has treated thousands of patients as a licensed massage therapist (#MA36632) who brings over ten years of experience to our Enliven team. Working one on one with Medical Doctors, Chiropractors and Osteopaths, Josh continues to successfully develop and execute treatment protocols for patients suffering from chronic and acute dysfunctions of the muscular and skeletal systems. He also acts as a consultant assisting in improved design and manufacturing of medical devices and products for the healthcare provider as well as the patient. Josh is an exercise and nutrition enthusiast who believes in better health for anyone and everyone.
